Cathedral Guides:Cathedral CLOSED until further notice

The Dean has called the cathedral "the Gospel Story in glass and stone". Our guides assist visitors in viewing the beauty and historical significance of the cathedral.  St Saviour's attracts thousands of visitors from around the world every year.

We have a group of guides, co-ordinated by  Mr Fred Rainger. Our guides take great pride in welcoming tourists and others who might be drawn to St Saviour's calm beauty and interesting history. All of our guides are volunterrs, committed to keeping our Cathedral open for visitors and pilgrims.

To learn more about being a guide, or organising a group tour, call the Cathedral office (02 4821 2206). If you think this ministry maybe for you, remember training is given and you do not need a wealth of knowledge of every aspect of the building. You can opt to just be a "minder". Either way, this ensures our Cathedral is open to our community and travellers and pilgrims.

Our aim is to open every day 10am-4pm, in shifts 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm (subject to available guides)
